A real-time 2.5D raytraced relighting tool for After Effects and Nuke that lets you add, modify, or completely replace lighting for video or stills without costly or time-consuming re-rendering, re-shooting, or regenerating.
Built on physically-based shading and powered by your depth + normal map, Raytracing Relight gives you true light interaction inside your comp.
Features
- Physically-based rendering using a metallic/roughness PBR workflow so materials behave the way they do in real life
- Thickness estimation allows light transmission through and around objects, enabling physically correct shadows that match objects’ structure
- Up to three independent lights per instance (with controls for position, intensity, radius, tint, etc.)
- Three light types (directional, omniditectional, spotlight) + Ambient light
- Soft and hard shadows, translucent lighting, ambient occlusion, optional denoising
- Support for five different types of depth maps (direct, normalized, inverted normalized, 1/Z depth, inverted 1/Z)
- Various output modes (final result, white albedo, shadows only, etc.)
