Aescripts FontObj V1.0 – Free Download Plugin
After Effects extension for turning text into real 3D OBJ geometry. Type your text, choose a font, set size/extrude/tracking, and export a clean OBJ directly from After Effects.
Setup
- The easiest way to install is with the aescripts + aeplugins manager.
- You can also install with the ZXP installer.
- In After Effects, enable: Edit > Preferences > Scripting and Expressions > Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network
Usage
- Open Window > Extensions > FontObj
- Select a Font and type your text
- Adjust Size, Extrude, Tracking, and Export Scale
- (Optional) Enable Export letters for separate OBJ files
- Click Export OBJ and choose save location
- Keep Import enabled to auto-import into AE
