EtchX is a stylization plugin for After Effects and Premiere Pro that transforms video into animated engraving, cross-hatching, charcoal, dry ink, scratchboard, or technical-pen artwork. Apply it to a clip, choose from 48 curated presets, then customize how the lines, shading, detail, and texture are drawn.
Unlike sketch effects that redraw every frame independently, EtchX keeps its marks connected to the moving scene. Lines follow subjects and camera motion, giving full shots and reveals a steadier, more intentional illustrated look.
EtchX creates engraving, cross-hatching, charcoal, dry ink, scratchboard, and technical-pen looks whose marks follow the shot instead of flickering from frame to frame. It includes six drawing systems and 48 curated presets for After Effects and Premiere Pro.
The lines move with the subject.
As faces turn, fabric folds, or the camera moves, EtchX carries the drawing through the shot. Marks stay calmer, difficult motion recovers cleanly, and every cut begins a fresh image.
